About Jillian

For more than 15 years, Bethel Park has been where my family has put down roots. My husband and I are raising our two children here, both students in the Bethel Park schools, and we’re grateful every day to be part of such a welcoming and supportive community.

I’m a proud Penn State graduate and work full-time as a Director of Revenue Management for a hotel management company. My professional experience has taught me how to balance budgets, make strategic decisions, and plan for the long term — skills I carry with me when I serve on Council. Outside of work, I stay connected to our community through the things I care about most: the arts, education, and service. I’m involved with South Arts Pittsburgh, serve as Recording Secretary for the Friends of the Bethel Park Public Library, and am an active member of the Bethel Park Democratic Committee. Each of these roles gives me a chance to give back to the community that has given so much to my family.

I’ve listed my focus above.  Here are more details on how I plan to make them a reality

• I commit to being accessible to community members.
• I commit to continuous learning, and to the exploration of new ideas to prepare for the future.
• I commit to building budgets responsibly and in a way that allows Bethel Park to thrive.

• I will actively solicit input from all community members.
• I will listen first and the ask questions.
• I will recognize that our residents have diverse life experiences. Standard solutions don’t fit all issues; this requires thinking creatively.

• I support expanding recreational programming and resources for tweens/teens.
• I support efforts to make summer camps and other programs affordable.
• I support developing and strengthening local public-private partnerships creating stronger resources for the community.
